New house!
We moved Zach into the house last weekend! And since then I have been working on scrubbing the kitchen cabinets and counters, as hard as I can. Apparently they haven't been wiped down since the house was built? It's not very comforting when things are changing colors as you're cleaning. But with the old (3) layers of contact paper torn out, and my adorable strawberry ones put it, things are looking much better.
our kitchen, note the double oven:)
What I suspect to be the very first dishwasher
We even have the instruction manual, copywright 1957
I had to read the whole thing because it was entertaining, they went one for 2 pages about how to pull the racks out before you load the dishes
Zach got a lawnmower and other... lawn ... things. I don't really know, who knew I would be as bored in Home Depot now as I was when I was 8. Now I know how Zach feels when I drag him into Michael's. But our lawn is looking better already. I keep finding things in the backyard, like these flowers! which are my new favorite!
Also, there seems to be a family of giant moths seem to be living in the house...

My DIY table numbers
I was walking around Michaels trying to figure out what to use as table numbers for the wedding, and I always see these little wood boxes, cabinets, and bird houses etc. for like $1 and I always wish I had something to use them for, so I invented a use!
I used some scrapbook paper that
matched my invitations and adhered
it to the outsideand then it can sit open on the
table to show the number
I got tired of using boxes so I threw in some birdhouses too :)

Best storm ever!
So we had just finished moving Zach out of his apartment when it started to rain, just a little, then it started to hail, then it stopped, THEN I looked up and saw this funnel cloud swirling around...but I thought, "no one would believe me, it's probably not actually one", but it was! and it was amazing! and then it got really windy, and started raining really hard, and then tornado sirens went off! I didn't even know they had them in Denver, and I don't know where they came from. I was wondering about 10 minutes before this happened if this was a particularly bad thunderstorm, since the clouds where kind of green, and that's why I was looking for funnel clouds. Zach spotted it too from across the parking lot, he was not nearly as excited though :) I'm so glad my phone takes pictures!
